FROM CB:
How many Internet searches do you do daily? More than you think. When you use Goodsearch.com for your searches, you earn a penny for each search for TBAF. And It's Free. You don't need a Checking account or PayPal. Make GoodSearch your home page, or put a GoodSearch tool bar at the top of your home page. Be sure and make Bubel Aiken your charity of choice and be sure it shows in the window. Since we started this in May 2006, TBAF has received over $6000. That's over half enough for a new camp.
Read on, and add your pennies.
GOODSEARCH LINK
or
Goodsearch URL: www.goodsearch.com/
Copy URL and paste in your Browser.
GOODSHOPS: Check out multiple stores. All give a % to GoodSearch/TBAF. Lots of great shopping there. After you click on your store, be sure to click on the Donation Link and follow instructions, so that the store's percentage will be sent to TBAF at GoodSearch/GoodShop.
GOODSEARCH: Follow instructions carefully.
Underneath the gray "Who Do You GoodSearch For", write "Bubel-Aiken", (NEVER PUT JUST BAF) Click "Verify". Each time before your search, make a habit of glancing at the "My Charity" box at the top of your screen to see that it says Bubel Aiken Foundation. Then put your search subject in Goodsearch Search Box.
You can put a Goodsearch toolbar at the top of your screen for convenience, or you can make Goodsearch your Home Page.
Searches for URL's, i.e. for websites ending in .com, .edu, .net, .org, etc. will not be counted. Put in just the word. ie: banks, tv listings, etc., since no one has the time to speculate if a search will count or not, just put a word in the Search window. If it counts, it counts, if it doesn't, we really haven't lost anything, we just didn't gain anything. Search one subject at a time. No multiple, consecutive searches on a subject, unless you re-word the subject. ie: tea, then herbal tea, etc.
Read the Success Stories. You will find TBAF there. The story is in the Success Story Archives.
UPDATED GOODSEARCH RULES:
1. Fraudulent searches - These include repeated manual clicks (e.g. someone searching for the letter "A" fifty times in a row in an attempt to raise money for their nonprofit). This type of misuse will result in the user being blocked from the site and potentially a charity being de-listed.
2. Searches for URL's, i.e. for websites ending in .com, .edu, .net, .org, etc. People can enter these terms into GoodSearch but they won't count toward a nonprofit's earnings. Generally speaking, if people know the name of the website, they should go to the site directly.
3. Searches for well known sites such as ESPN, AOL, HotMail, MySpace, FaceBook, Yahoo, Google, etc. Again, it's ok to search for these in GoodSearch, but they won't count toward an organizations earnings.
DISTRIBUTION OF CHECKS
GoodSearch will send each organization a check once a year in December for the funds earned through the prior 12 months ending in September providing the organization has accrued $100 or more. If the organization has earned less than that, the funds will be carried over to the next year. Funds will accrue for a maximum of two years.
