Recaps from Claysbabygurl
The camelot scene he did a shimmy to one of the girls
He poked tom again and he laughed
He also was pretending he was petting his horse
He let out a loud scream with the scene where they do the seasons
He also did a crying horse thing
When god was talking he had his hands together praying while god was talking.
He said oh gosh when they hit the symbol
He said oh god when they hit the symbol at least thats what she thinks he said
she will tell me more after the show

Jax
WOOHOO! Great show tonight as usual. He was really into the window scene. Other than that, Jess and i kind of decided that he wasn't as into the dancing. He's probably tired after a long week. Loved the stage door as usual! I took some pics...they're not the best cause he was awkwardly angled the whole time. I LOVE HIM! He made fun of our accent THAT I DON'T THINK we have after i said OH YAH! In front of him. I have no blue what i was talking about but whatevs!

from CV:
Hee...just called that husband of mine wondering why he wasn't home yet. First he said he was out on his date...then after I whacked him over the head with my voice on the phone he is walking home from Times Square since it's such a beautiful night. He has about 20 more blocks to go. Anyway...he said Jerome was in his way tonight. He hopes Jerome doesn't think he is a paparazzi. If anyone has Jerome's number please let him know that dancerdad is not a paparazzi! He got a few good shots. He said it was much more crowded than last night. I asked him what Clay was wearing...he said...I don't know...he was wearing something. I told him...uh...I hope so. He also said you can see what he was wearing when he gets home.

cv: DH is home...he isn't happy with his pics. I had to make him give me some to post. He is working on it. He said he wasn't in the best place to get pictures tonight. Clay was wearing a black hoodie from Brown University. He looks good.
Bless his heart...

from Starry:
I haven't seen this mentioned yet, so I'll mention it.
When the Lady Of The Lake walked off stage after "Divas Lament", she had dropped one of the roses off of her boquet. When Clay came out to do the guard scene, he sort of accidentally kicked the rose across the stage and then paid a lot of attention to it as it slid. It was funny and I don't know how to describe it! After Prince Herbert's father went into the castle again, Guard 1 (David Hibbard) picked up the rose and started smelling it, Clay made a "oo" face and was doing the same. LOL I thought it was hilarious.
Also, he was very talkative during SD, talking to a lot of fans and taking pictures with a lot too!! He came out pretty quickly after the show was over. I have pictures I will upload and post tomorrow morning. I'm too tired right now!

Back from Spamland. I'm posting yesterday's recap. I'll be doing a recap from tonight as well but may not post till tomorrow. Me sleepy...Clay, tires me out in a good way. SD video from yesterday and tonight to follow.
Spamalot Friday....
Show time...
Most definitely an NJU crowd tonight. No reaction for Tower Scene or even Idol Of My Age. These were folks who did not get the Idol reference so that's as NJU as you can get. That Clay got a great reaction from this crowd as in lots of laughs - is a very good sign. The audience was more subdued overall (not big on clapping for ends of scenes and entrances etc. but they laughed which is what counts.
I'm not dead yet which can be useful for Clayviewing experiences. When the 'dead folk' all jumped out of the cart and Clay got all 'skeered' and fell back towards the wall he kind of shielded himself with his 'triangle'. Cute.
Camelot ladies made their entrance and Clay seemed to consult with his fellow knights on how to approach them...we got some shy Clay....pointing his finger at the ladies...is it okay to touch? Yep. A sweet, hesitant shimmy at the dancing girl...Be still Clay's heart as he clasps his chest in joy...thingytail waitress gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek...I saw the Dice lady lean forward...and the rest a mystery for those in the balcony seats. The Lady Of The Lake in Armor...doing her strip....Touchdown...Clay caught himself an armor arm....he held it close and being the generous knight he is - passed it back for another knight to have a go.
The Grail lantern ladies seem to be loving them some Clay lately....he beckoned at the lady doing the lantern transfer and she smiled so nice....He swayed with both arms in the air and a peace/victory sign with his left hand...he did kind of a sideways 'bend and snap' (a Clay tribute to the soon to close Legally Blonde?). Gettin' funky....Get down with your bad self Sir Robin...
Some enjoyable slomo horse riding tonight. Nice puffy cheeks with a still somewhat shy tongue..the tease...and then lowering down....oy my aching thighs...which I have a feeling I mind much less than Clay does...little staccato squats down to the ground....pulses..thighs..lower, lower, lower...Elizabeth I'm not dead yet...
Oh the soiling...great scream of fright...we got a wide stance kind of shuffle...low to one side and low to the other with a kind of rockin waddle....and then legs together, little jump backs...a kind of soiling, moon walk in place...
Knights Of Ki gave us a little variation on the Palin theme....the new montra is 'Drill Baby Drill' which got nice laughs. Then a little Deja Vu with 'Let's go put lipstick on that pig we found'.
You Won't Succeed On Broadway wowed -em tonight. This was such a subdued audience and they came to life for YWSOB. You could hear audible cheers and whistles for the first time this evening. And given the no Idol reaction that meant Clay lit up the NJUs. Nice laughs at every line. Modest tunic flip but hey a half moon is still celestial. I could hear a little 'wooh' from this non Idol knowing crowd. Then the preparation...audience cracked up at the hunched shoulders and agressive, hit of the keys all for...chopsticks...and then, black hat on head and wine goblet balanced, down on knees, right leg out and the audience burst into applause....slide on one, slide to the other....Papa and Mama and Uncle Moishe heard you...kneel down and hand over heart...your applause my audience, your applause...Gosh says the King.
The energy and genuine joy spread to Herbert (Tom Deckman) and Lancelot (Rick Holmes) in the Tower. They fed off the cheers, applause and yes even some NJU whistles.
Guard scene got huge laughs...Clay was leaning way to the side almost supported by that spear as he contemplated those ribbons and flowers with little body bounces...his face so intense and fascinated and still clueless...he was breaking up the audience just with his face and his moves....his hand tantalizingly grasping the ribbons of the spear as though the braid was so close yet so far...just his focus was enough to suggest the ribbon endeared guard so sure of himself and so wobbly and confused...And what modesty the tunic flip at the piano gave us was more than made up for in the Guard Tunic reveal when Guard 1 falls to the floor after Lancelot's sword gets him. Sometimes the fates are just with a revealing tunic show. Fate must love to show off nature's magnificence.
Peasant was a distinguished looking gentleman. He had to be cajoled to give his last name. And he firmly shook Clay's hand. Clay looked quite pleased. The classy folk know Clay Aiken is shake worthy....
Finale dance had Patsy (David Hibbard) doing a Find Your Grail lantern sway and Clay in the middle of Patsy and Bevedere doing a little party dance.
The King has toned down the goofy dancing and doing more of the dry 'sane man in the sea of insane' which helps. And he's pretty much stopped the slurring and hopefully over time is interaction with others on stage will grow. Lady Of The Lake does have a wonderful voice though she will hopefully grow into the 'goofiness' of the role over time. She doesn't quite have that eye wink that lets us know it's all one big joke but hey the 'Goofey Boys' are there to guide her. Always look on the silly side of life.
Stage door...yes it was Sherrie from Invisible. Clay walked by looking ever so handsome. I heard him answer 'Of course I remember you' with a big smile on his face. He said 'Laurie?' Oh Sherrie....and hugged her. Very sweet. He noticed she didn't have her necklace. Then someone must have asked who it was and Clay said it was the girl from the Invisible video. You could really see the joy in him when he talked to and about Sherrie. Sounds like a great memory for him.
I heard people at stage door saying what a great cast they have. I was up in the rafters tonight. The usher on the way upstairs said I was slumming tonight...well I usually do ticket booth but did the discount thing tonight. Ticket booth is worth a try cause you can get some great seats that way. It is cash or travelers check only. And with ticket booth you don't have a choice of seats so you have to take whatever they offer. The balcony was I'd say about 2/3rds full which I think is pretty good in this economy. Juniors was a ten minute wait which is really quick. Economy is hittin... Got to hang out with the oh so nice 5230fan.
Clay was taking pictures with folks and chatting away and looking mighty fine in his Carolina Hoodie. What a lovely...smile that man has among other fine things...
